IISRP 65th AGM, Dublin

11 Apr 2025

A great programme at the IISRP (International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers) 65th Annual Meeting in Dublin and it was Rubber Heart’s first time attending!

The speaker programme opened with an impressive keynote on future mobility from Russell Vickers of Future Mobility Ireland, setting the tone for a very wide-ranging agenda.

We heard from a diverse mix of industry voices – from a leading tyre manufacturer and market analysts to regulatory specialists, technical consultants and academia – all sharing their expertise on what’s set to shape the future of vehicles, tyres and materials. ‘Uncertainty’ was definitely the most used word of the week.

Some of the speakers did have their work cut out of course with last-minute updates to presentations as tariffs landed just as the programme kicked off and the pause announced mid-event, but all handled impressively!

Thanks to all the other speakers – Rob Simmons (Global Data), Dr David McNamara (Allied Irish Bank), Eugen Zubov (Chem-Courier. Petrochemistry) Dr Lekshimi S. Nair (Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC), Michael Ulbrich (IISRP – Sustainability Advisor), Massimo Cialone (Hankook Tire) David Shaw (Tire Industry Research), Dr Chaoying Wan (University of Warwick), Dr. Walter Ramirez (Innventik SL & Innventik Engineering SA de CV) Noah Vladimir Hirsch Trembovolsky (ETB Global) and Bill Hyde (Chemical Market Analytics).

Well done to Roxanna Bauza Petrovic and the IISRP team for putting together such an enjoyable and informative event. If you’re in the rubber industry and get the chance to attend (next year the IISRP AGM is in Houston, TX), we’d highly recommend it!
