Tire Tech Expo 2024
Rubber Heart is back from Tire Technology Expo 2024 in Hannover, Germany and it was yet again a great week for our partners Endurica and ACE Laboratories, both exhibitors at the event and global leaders in their respective fields!
ACE’s President Erick Sharp presented a paper at the conference on ‘Evaluation of Tire Wear Particle Leachability’. This research focused on the leachability rates of 6PPD, zinc and hydrocarbons from wear particles of various tread formulations. Dr Will Mars, Endurica President, also presented his paper ‘Real-time processing of road loads for intelligent tire applications,’ that offered insights into how to implement a tire digital twin that can track damage development in real time and how to identify key moments during recorded track events using Endurica solvers.
As with previous years it was lovely to catch up with G from ENSO Tyres, Patrick Raleigh, Sean Marshall and Shaz Pourriahi from European Rubber Journal, Dennis Kennelly and Mike Dies from Rubber World Magazine and meeting up with the new kids on the block Enrico Koggel and Jan Boomsma from the Circular Rubber Platform.
Also need to mention the lovely Marjolein Groeneweg from Synthos Synthetic Rubber and the great team on their booth this year!
Next up for us is Endurica with Eclipse, the Endurica Community Conference in Findlay, Ohio. THE event for the rubber durability simulation community that includes a prime spot right in the path of totality for the total solar eclipse on the 8th April 2024. Then the Rubber Division, ACS Spring Meeting in Columbus, Ohio at the end of April/beginning of May!
